I embarked on a journey to interpret my mask figures into sculptural form. Historically artifacts from foreign countries were stolen and placed in museums as artifacts left to be forgotten, I reclaim the narrative of what an artifact is. Through attention to glazes and form, I evokes the essence of an ancestral artifact within a contemporary context.
